久保田耕平(Kubota Kohei,东京大学(The University of Tokyo)教授,主要从事昆虫生态,物种进化和遗传多样性以及昆虫对枯木分解功能的相关研究;参加日本多种学术研讨会,2000年日本森林学会表彰委员;2002年树木医学会编辑委员;2007年日本应用动物昆虫学会编辑委员;200710月任树木医学会总务理事,评议员;2008年日本农学会运营委员会;20098月日本学术振兴会特别研究委员等审查会専门委员—审查委员;2009 8月任日本学术振兴会国际事业委员会书面审查员—审查委员;日本甲虫学会评议员(20132022);日本甲虫学会会长(2023—);日本昆虫学会代議員(2018—)等;并于2001年和2006年获得日本昆虫学会学会赏,2009年获得日本生物地理学会赏;目前在国际期刊发表学术论文百余篇。


Evan Siemann美国莱斯大学教授,主要从事预测和管理生物入侵及其相关影响。他最近的研究主要集中在:入侵植物引进后的进化变化,入侵植物在生物相互作用(特别是与昆虫和土壤微生物)中的变化,次生化学物质在生物相互作用中的角色,入侵植物相互作用在其成功定植中的作用,以及植物入侵对凋落物动态和生态系统功能的影响。Evan共发表论文二百余篇,研究成果曾多次在Science, Nature等顶级期刊发表。


陈新,现为常州大学药学院教授。毕业于兰州大学化学系,曾先后在清华大学、美国杜克大学、美国加州大学河滨分校学习和工作主要研究方向是膜蛋白GPCR别构调节剂和昆虫性信息素。他与诺贝尔奖获得者、美国杜克大学Robert Lefkowitz院士合作,发现了β2-肾上腺素受体的第一个别构调节剂。应用开发方面,他领导的团队系统研究昆虫性信息素,获得了农业部生物农药登记证3个,有关产品已在全国推广应用200多万亩。主持国家自然科学基金项目4项,发表论文125篇,获得美国授权发明专利4项,中国授权发明专利36项,荣获省部级科技奖5项。他是俄罗斯工程院外籍院士,江苏省双创人才,江苏省333高层次人才工程第二层次培养对象。


Jacob D. Wickham,俄罗斯科学院谢韦尔斯托夫生态与进化研究所高级研究员。主要从事蛀干甲虫的化学生态学研究,通过研究害虫、寄主植物及微生物相互作用的多营养水平阐释生物入侵机制。已在ISMECurrent Biology等国际期刊上发表论文40余篇。担任《Integrative Zoology》杂志的执行编辑。


褚熙,挪威科技大学化学感受实验室研究员,主要从事昆虫嗅觉神经通路与气味导航的相关研究。研究发表在Current Biology, eLife, Journal of comparative neurologyFrontiers in cellular neuroscience等多篇国际著名期刊上。其研究领域涉及昆虫学领域的数个子学科,包括生态学,生理学,神经解剖学等。参与了多个国际合作项目,其中主要包括中挪合作项目(国家自然科学基金与挪威研究理事会共同资助): 植物-昆虫关系:食草昆虫二氧化碳、信息素和植物气味的嗅觉途径成像; 挪威研究理事会资助项目(与农科院昆虫功能基因组合作) 害虫棉铃虫产卵行为背后的化学感应途径 - 外周和中枢机制,以及欧洲地平线项目:PURPEST-通过技术指导监测和场地特定控制预防植物害虫。


Sohrab Rahimi, 英属哥伦比亚大学(UBC)化学与生物工程系的助理研究员,专注于提高木材和颗粒干燥方法的效率。同时管理UBC木材科学系的木材流体和热处理实验室。他获得了德黑兰大学和西弗吉尼亚大学的理学硕士学位,并在UBC林学院获得了木材科学博士学位,已发表30多篇研究论文,引用次数达380次,此外他还为Springer出版社撰写了两章书籍,并在其领域拥有一项专利。他在伊朗、美国和加拿大获得了十多个奖项,以表彰他在可再生能源和可持续生产领域的贡献。他与俄勒冈州立大学、北京林业大学、南京林业大学和安徽农业大学等有国际合作交流。


张新星美国俄克拉荷马大学助理教授,2010年毕业于中国科学技术大学, 2016年取得美国佛罗里达大学博士学位;20162023年密西根大学从事博士后。2023年入职俄克拉荷马大学组建了独立实验室。主要探究纤毛蛋白异常在巴德-毕德氏症候群Bardet-Biedl SyndromeBBS)视力损伤中的致病机理,研究成果作为封面文章发表于发育生物学领域顶刊Dev Cell。他的工作不仅推动了科学界对Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS)发病机理的理解,还为其治疗开辟潜在新途径。近来,张新星博士在渗透压感受器领域取得了令人振奋的成就,相关工作已荣获NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award,研究成果将有助于人们更好的理解动植物体液平衡调控和口渴感受的神经分子机理。实验室目前研究方向包括:(1)解析渗透压感受的分子机制及其在生物体液动态平衡中的功能;(2)蛋白复合物BBSome下游信号通路异常在纤毛相关疾病发病机理中的作用。主要采用跨学科的交叉方法来研究生物学问题,整合结构生物学(冷冻电镜)、生物化学、代谢组学和细胞生物学的先进技术,最终目标是在生理和病理条件下能够精细调控这些信号通路,为相关疾病的治疗提供新的思路。实验室具有先进的仪器设备,满足体钙成像、化学/光遗传学、全脑成像等前沿研究需求。


Mariano Damián Aquino,拉普拉塔国立大学(La Plata National University)助教,毕业于阿根廷-巴塔哥尼亚国立大学。主要从事真菌代谢、真菌生态学和分子生物学研究。他的团队聚焦阿根廷巴塔哥尼亚地区的南美白榉森林中真菌生态研究,先后对采集的真菌菌株进行了形态学和分子学鉴定,并对不同菌株的脂质组成进行解析,明确了真菌分离的生态环境与真菌脂质组成的关系。发表论文10篇,并获得多项阿根廷政府项目资助。


江涛2017年毕业于安徽农业大学并保研至北京林业大学,并于2020年在北京林业大学完成了森林经理硕士学位。同年获国家留学基金委(CSC)资助,前往德国哥廷根大学(Georg-August Universität Göttingen)学习, 在那里,他专注于森林监测和遥感领域的研究,并在2024年成功获得了博士学位。他的研究工作主要集中在利用深度学习 (Deep Learning)技术和高分辨率卫星遥感影像,对树冠进行分割和检测,并结合地面调查数据,对树木生物量进行估测和生态系统服务评估。他的研究成果已在Remote Sensing, Forest Ecosystems 等期刊上发表。在攻读博士学位期间,他积极参与国际学术交流,曾到访柏林自由大学(FUB),瑞典农业大学 (SLU)和维也纳自然资源和生命科学大学 (BOKU)进行学术汇报和交流。同时,他对国际森林碳汇交易市场保持着浓厚的兴趣,并在国际碳汇评价咨询公司(Calyx Global)担任数据分析和咨询师,在这一职位上,他负责数据分析,项目评价和咨询服务。

Introduction to keynote speaker

Kohei Kubota, a professor at The University of Tokyo, specializes in insect ecology, species evolution, genetic diversity, and the role of insects in wood decomposition. He has participated in various academic conferences in Japan and has held several prestigious roles. These include serving on the Japan Forestry Society's Award Committee in 2000, the Editorial Board of the Society of Tree Medicine in 2002, and the Editorial Board of the Japanese Society of Applied Entomology and Zoology in 2007. In October 2007, he became the General Director and Councillor of the Society of Tree Medicine. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Society of Japan in 2008 and as a member of the Special Research Committee of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in August 2009. Additionally, in August 2009, he worked as a Document Reviewer for the International Affairs Committee of the JSPS. Kubota has been a Councillor of the Japan Beetle Society (2013–2022) and its President (2023–present). He has also served as a representative of the Entomological Society of Japan (2018–present). He has received several accolades, including the Entomological Society of Japan's Award in 2001 and 2006, and the Biogeographical Society of Japan's Award in 2009. He has authored over 100 academic papers in international journals and conferences.


Evan Siemann, Rice University, USA Dr. Evan Siemann's research focuses on predicting and managing biological invasions along with their associated impacts. Topics he has emphasized recently include: post-introduction evolutionary change in invasive plants, variation in the biotic interactions (especially with insects and soil microbes) of invasive plants among and within ranges, the role of secondary chemicals in biotic interactions, the role of interactions among invasive plants in their success, and the effects of plant invasions on litter dynamics and ecosystem functions. Evan has more than two hundred publications and his researches was published in some top-level journal.


Chen Xin, a professor at the School of Pharmacy, Changzhou University. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Lanzhou University and has studied and worked at Tsinghua University, Duke University, and the University of California, Riverside. His main research focuses on GPCR allosteric modulators of membrane proteins and insect pheromones. In collaboration with Nobel laureate Robert Lefkowitz from Duke University, he discovered the first allosteric modulator of the β2-adrenergic receptor. In applied research, his team has systematically studied insect pheromones, obtaining three biological pesticide registration certificates from the Ministry of Agriculture, with products being promoted over 2 million mu (approximately 330,000 acres) nationwide. He has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published 125 papers, and holds four U.S. patents and 36 Chinese patents. He has been awarded five provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards. He is a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Engineering, a Jiangsu Province Dual Innovation Talent, and a second-tier candidate in the Jiangsu Province "333 High-level Talent Project."


Jacob D. Wickham, is currently a Senior Scientific Researcher at the Severstov Institute of Ecology and Evolution, Russian Academy of Sciences. He has worked in China and Southeast Asia for over 15 years and his research interests include chemical ecology of woodboring beetles and understanding the multitrophic mechanism of biological invasion by investigating multi-trophic levels of interactions among pest insects, host plants, and their microbiome. He has published more than 40 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including ISME and Current Biology. Jacob is the Senior Managing Editor of the journal Integrative Zoology, the flagship journals for the International Society of Zoological Sciences, headquartered at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of in Beijing, China.


Chu Xi, is a researcher at the Chemosensation Laboratory of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, focusing on insect olfactory neural pathways and odor-guided navigation. Her research has been published in several renowned international journals, including Current Biology, eLife, Journal of Comparative Neurology, and Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience. Her work spans multiple subfields within entomology, including ecology, physiology, and neuroanatomy. She has participated in several international collaborative projects, including the Sino-Norwegian joint project (co-funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Research Council of Norway): "Plant-Insect Interactions: Imaging Olfactory Pathways for Herbivorous Insects to Carbon Dioxide, Pheromones, and Plant Odors"; a project funded by the Research Council of Norway in collaboration with the Functional Genomics of Insects group at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences: "Chemosensory Mechanisms Underlying Egg-Laying Behavior in the Pest Helicoverpa armigera – Peripheral and Central Mechanisms"; and the European Horizon project, PURPEST: "Preventing Plant Pests Through Technology-Guided Monitoring and Site-Specific Control."


Sohrab Rahimi, a research associate in Biological Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and manages the Wood Fluid and Thermal Treatment Laboratory within UBC’s Wood Science Department. He earned M.Sc. degrees from the University of Tehran and West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in Wood Science from UBC’s Faculty of Forestry. Dr. Rahimi has published over 30 research papers with 380 citations, contributed two book chapters with Springer, and holds a patent in his field. He has received over ten awards across Iran, the USA, and Canada, recognizing his contributions to renewable energy and sustainable production. His collaborative efforts extend internationally, with co-authored research involving institutions such as Oregon State University, Beijing Forestry University, Nanjing Forestry University, and Anhui Agriculture University. A dedicated advocate for renewable energy, Dr. Rahimi focuses on advancing efficient lumber and pellet drying methods.


Zhang Xinxing, an assistant Professor at University of Oklahoma, he obtained his bachelor's degree at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2010. He then joined Dr. Rebecca Butcher’s lab to study C. elegans pheromone molecule biosynthesis at the University of Florida and got his PhD in 2016. During his postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan, he focused on the sensory biology of C. elegans. The main findings are 1) The BBSome protein complex regulates light sensation in C. elegans independently of its cilia roles. 2) the molecular sensors of high osmolarity (thirst) in metazoan. In 2023, Dr. Zhang joined the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center as an assistant professor and established his laboratory. The current research directions follow the main findings above. We use multidisciplinary approaches to tackle these questions, including genetics, biochemistry, biophysics, opto- and chemo-genetics, whole-brain activity imaging, and cryo-EM.


Mariano Damián Aquino, an assistant professor at La Plata National University. He graduated from the National University of Patagonia in Argentina and main research areas are fungal metabolism, fungal ecology, and molecular biology. His team focuses on the study of fungal ecology in the Nothofagus forests of Patagonia, Argentina. They have conducted morphological and molecular identification of fungal strains collected from the region and analyzed the lipid composition of various strains, clarifying the relationship between the ecological environment of fungal isolation and fungal lipid composition. He has published over 10 papers and received several research grants from the Argentine government.


Jiang Tao, a Ph.D candidate from the University of Göttingen, Germany. His research focuses on tree cover segmentation, individual tree detection, carbon stock estimation, and mapping Trees Outside Forests (TOF) using deep learning. His work involves processing high-resolution satellite imagery and applying deep learning techniques for tree cover segmentation, identifying individual trees, and estimating carbon stocks. Previously, he served as a forest carbon project consultant at a renowned international company, where he was responsible for greenhouse gas integrity assessments, project risk analysis, and carbon project optimization. Jiang Tao also worked as a teaching assistant at Beijing Forestry University, where he taught courses related to forest mensuration. He has extensive experience in forest carbon management, remote sensing applications, and academic research.
